What is the Rehearsal License?

The CCLI Rehearsal License provides the legal permission to share a copy of a commercial song recording with your choir or your worship team to help them to learn it. Just as with the Church Copyright License®, it is important to make sure that the song you wish to copy is authorized under our licensing by checking that the record label or owner is found on the Rehearsal License Copyright Owners List. If the Label/Owner of your recording is listed, you may legally copy the CD and/or share audio files, such as mp3s, by email or flash drive or on password-protected worship planning websites.

Copies you create are intended to be used only for rehearsal purposes and are not intended to be kept permanently for personal use.

So that CCLI can pay royalties fairly and accurately, you are required to report any albums and songs copied or shared under this license. Our step-by-step reporting help-guides will get started if you haven't reported for this license before.
